This weekend involved lots of great times!! Levi got to go coyote hunting Friday and Saturday night. The girls and I made a Valentine craft and finished their Valentine cars for preschool. The best part was building "our family" of snowmen on Saturday! Pictures will come soon!! :) Here are a few pictures that I have managed to take in the midst of our busy lives!!

Ok, so 8 months have passed since I've blogged! I'm ashamed and sorry, but I hope to be back in business! =) Instead of playing catch-up, I will just feel you in on what's been happening within the last week! FIRST of all, Miss Aspen is now NINE months old! I can't believe it and with her being the 3rd child it is so much harder!

Last week I learned about a young woman in Childress that had nothing and by that I mean nothing! Her daughter needed clothes that were a size smaller than what Autumn was wearing, so I thought, "Hey, I can help her out." So I gathered up all of the clothes and took them to her, but that wasn't it! In one week, Levi and I along with Levi's sister and husband and his parents managed to round up a whole bunch of stuff for her house. Therefore, we have made 2 trips to her house and this weekend we will make a trip back with a trailer load of big items for her house. We are still in need of bunkbeds for her kids room, (she has a boy and a girl) so if you run across one please let me know!

I love the fact that we are becoming friends~ even SWEETER than just helping with what we could. We do ask that you pray for her and her children as they are starting off on a new path of their life!

Time has once again got away from me! Since the last time, The Woods Family has added a "new" baby girl to our crew. Aspen Laine Woods was born on April 26, 2010 at 5pm weighing in @ 8 lbs 1 oz and was 21 1/2 in long. She is so darn cute and loveable! The girls are adjusting well, but Autumn is having a harder time as expected (since she's not the baby anymore)!! She is now 3 weeks old and growing like a weed! I came back to work when she was a week, but I am bringing her with me- therefore, work is fun!! :)

Since Aspen has arrived we have had a lot of things going on from a baby shower, Mother's Day Tea @ pre-school, gymnastics recital, senior parties, newborn pics, etc. The list could go on. This week Montana will graduate from her 1st year of pre-school and she is looking forward to it! We love having a crazy, busy life! But in our crazy life, we have had some sadness. Levi's grandpa passed away Mother's Day evening and was buried last Wednesday. Levi was very close to him and there were lots of sad tears that day, but we know he is no longer relying on oxygen to breathe anymore. Then last night I found out Cheyenne's grandma had passed away. Cheyenne is a great friend who I became friends with my sophomore year in high school. So a little later I'll be heading to Crowell for visitation to see her and the family. In the past three weeks, I've really seen lots of happiness and lots of sadness. All we can do is leave it up to God!

And I have been awful with my camera!! I have hardly taken any pics of Aspen and she's already 3 weeks old. I have learned the 3rd kid gets the shaft! lol Plus, I haven't uploaded any on my computer so I stole this one from Belinda's blog. She managed to catch Montana & Autumn wanting to take a picture @ Gerry's senior party. Miss Aspen was sleeping away in her car seat during this.

P.S. I know I have LOTS of FAT to loose and I desperately NEED a tan!! I am working on BOTH of these!!!

Flat tire...

Not only did this week feel like a "flat tire" week (feeling drained completely), I really did have a flat about 3 miles outside of Childress on Wednesday night. I had picked Montana up from gymnastics and gotten the girls McDonalds to eat on the way home. I heard a funny "fizzing" noise and I couldn't figure it out, but then my car started going all over the road and I knew right then it was a tire. Being already dark, I called a SUPER great friend, Marci, to see if her husband, Jeff was home and he was so he came out to help me. As I was talking to her, a deputy pulled up behind me and it turned out to be Doty's Dad (Montana's friend from daycare), so he stayed until the tire was changed to help keep traffic off of us.

All in all, the girls were happy b/c they had food and were excellent for the 30-45 minutes we sat on the side of the road. When we arrived at home I started thinking that most of the time if something happened like that it would have made my day horrible, but it didn't. It made me grateful!! For the friends that I have to count on when I need help and for the deputy stopping just to see if he could help! I wasn't going to let the girls have McDonalds at first, now I'm so glad I did. All in all, God had our night planned to the "T" and I think part of it was for me to just be grateful for what I have and the friends I have encountered throughout my life!

I leave you with a picture that Montana made at Ms. Angie's preschool a couple of weeks ago. It absolutely MELTS my heart! When I asked he what the picture was she said that Sissy was her best friend b/c she swings with her, plays with her, and something else (I forgot). All I could do was smile at her & give her a big hug! She has 2 friends (1 @ daycare & 1@ preschool) that she always says are her best friends so it just caught me off guard I guess. Tonight we are having my niece's 13th b-day party! Have a great weekend! :)

Lots of projects

What a week it's been! I still don't have the girl's toys organized in their room! It's partly done, just not 100%. They have been doing good sleeping in their own beds, but at least one of them (sometimes both) wake up during the night. My "fat body" hates having to crawl out of the bed and function! lol I know it's worth it though and that eventually they'll go back to sleeping all night again! I know it has to be very different for them right now. I now have to figure out what I'm going to hang on their walls. I have a few things, but for sure they will be getting a couple of pink & brown crosses that I'll get Joycelyn to make for them.

This weekend we are buying paint for our bathroom and that project will get underway this weekend or next week. We have the flooring already, I just need paint. After this, ALL of the "major" projects I want done before the end of April will be done!! Thank goodness!! I know we'll find plenty of stuff to do outside, but the girl's room and our bathroom were the two things I wanted done this year. Next year, I hope to lay laminate flooring in our kitchen, dining room & guest bath along with painting! *I'll be keeping my fingers crossed*

Levi is finishing up a couple of hog traps this weekend and tomorrow we're headed back to Childress to help Marci for the day! I need to get lots of laundry and cleaning done too!! It's almost a year old and still my FAV!! Thanks Ericka!!

And no I didn't go to Fiji, but I wish I could've experienced the 85 degree weather! But one of my friends, Amy W., did just return from a week and a half trip to Fiji. She also brought back a gift for the girls and I. I love mine and the girls are pretty fond of theirs too! Thank you Amy for thinking about us!!

I love Saturdays where we have nothing planned and we can stay in our pjs all day! Well, today IS one of those days! My house is a total wreck, but I am picking it up slowly and enjoying playing with the girls. I thought I would browse through my camera and find some pictures over the last few months to share with ya'll. 3 months!!

I can't believe 3 months have passed since I have made even one post! Sorry about that~ I truly hope to blog more often in the coming months! So instead of playing catch-up, I will just inform you on what has been happening right now.

In just two more weeks, I will be counting my last 8 weeks down until the new baby arrives and still have so much to do! I am starting to feel like I'm in that miserable stage where it's harder to tie my own shoe, to pick something up, and just feeling out of breath quicker. It's funny how the 1st trimester you're sicker then a dog, 2nd trimester- people just think you're fat instead of pregnant, and 3rd trimester- you're so uncomfortable b/c you're stomach is now huge! lol

The girls have had a rough winter this year! Montana has had tonsillitis 2x and bronchitis 2x & Autumn has had the flu. On Monday we went to the dr for Montana's bronchitis this time & she is having to do breathing treatments b/c it was borderline (meaning almost pneumonia). I can honestly say I am SO ready for spring! This past weekend my Mom kept them while we painted their room, put new blinds up, & put together new bunkbeds! They really like them, but since Montana has been sick this week she hasn't slept more than half the night in hers. Although, I really think it's b/c she keeps waking herself up coughing. Autumn woke up around 5am this morning & I heard her saying "Mommy" in a whiny voice. I jump up & run in the living room & here she was coming down the hall with her crazy hair. It was really cute~ she's not supposed to be that big!!

I have started reading Beth Moore's new book- So Long Insecurity, You've been a bad friend to us & last night I finished Chapter 1 & I am hooked, but I literally fell alseep reading it b/c it was so late so I put it away for the night. A little over a month ago, I started the Esther Bible Study also with our church. Montana has gymnastics on Wednesdays so I haven't got to make it to our "actual class," but I am keeping up with it at home & loving it!

I gave you a brief overview over what's happening right now & I will have pics to post of the girl's "new" room as soon as I get the toys back in there & organized! Hope you are having a great week!!

Halloween, the Zoo & the Circus!

So much has happened that I don't even know where to start. My days and weeks are starting to run together and I'm starting to realize that May is just around the corner! Yikes! I am in the Christmas mood already and we plan to put up the tree and Christmas decorations this weekend, I just want to be able to enjoy it this year. And this year I am starting something new with our tree. I have always done a western tree because that is what we like, but this year to let the girls be involved we are going to make every ornament on the tree. I will still put my collectibles like my Breyer ornaments that are dated with the year, but other than that we as a family will make them. I'm even going to order a new tree skirt with snowmen on it to make it more for the girls. My only problem is I usually loop a rope around my tree and this year I want something different and I need a new topper because we have always used a hat. So, any suggestions? Can you tell that I'm excited? Well, YES I am!

I can finally say that I am starting to function again and feeling better. I cooked supper last night for the first time in a long time and it was SO good. Tonight we had smoked sausage stir-fry & a salad. It's nice knowing that I can cook & eat again! On a side note though- I can't eat hamburger meat in any way (HB, tacos, hb helper, etc). I was the same way when I was pregnant with Montana.

The girls have been extremely busy. Halloween was a busy week with a gymnastics party, preschool party, daycare party, 2 halloween carnivals & trick or treating. Montana was Tinkerbell & Autumn was Minnie Mouse. They had fun and I was more tired then they were! This past weekend they went to my Mom's Friday night b/c I had to work Saturday so my Mom took them to the Abilene Zoo on Saturday. They loved it; that's all they talked about- especially the alligator and the giraffe. The giraffe wrapped his tongue around Autumn's wrist trying to get the cracker from her and they are still talking about that! lol Sunday we went to the Shrine Circus in WF and Joycelyn went with us. It was fun but lasted 3 hours with an intermission. I thought that was extremely long for little kids. They both rode the little horses and then Montana rode an elephant with Daddy. That was the highlight of her day!! :)

This week we've all had some kind of bug except Autumn but all seem to be well now. I took Montana to the dr on Tuesday and we found out that she had tonsillitis, but 2 days of antibotics and she's SO much better! I'm looking forward to tomorrow b/c our family has made Friday "Family Movie Night" as long as we're home. We haven't done this in awhile b/c of me being sick, but tomorrow we'll have popcorn, a movie and get the tree out. There's nothing better than that!! The girls love it when we do a movie and popcorn!

...to make my blog private or not?

This question has crossed my mind a lot in the past few weeks. I LOVE meeting new blog friends and sharing "our lives" with you!! I am stuck in the middle about my decision. This comes along with facebook. I absolutely LOVE facebook & staying in touch with friends, but again I am undecided on whether to quit facebook too?

Facebook and my blog are a way to communicate with YOU, but I also don't want to feel guilty about something that I say/ announce because I've learned that sometimes it may hurt someone's feeling's unintentional. I love blogging & I want to continue to feel that way!!

If I do decide to make this blog private, I promise I will let you know so that you can give me your e-mail address and I can send you an invite to read my blog. Facebook is still undecided as well. I will let you know soon!!! And I will be praying about my decision!

I don't think I know what blogging means anymore!! :) Joycelyn told me to at least post a picture for her, but I'll try to fill you in on what's been happening the past month and a half. I seem to have let facebook take over b/c it's just quicker! lol

Autumn turned 2 on October 9th!! We had a Mickey Mouse party with hot dogs, cake & ice cream! My good friend, Lacy and her kids came and stayed with us the night before the party so we had fun with 6 kiddos running around.

Around the middle or September we found out that we are expecting baby #3! I am 3 months along right now & due on May 8th. Part of the reason for no blogging is me not feeling good. In the evenings the sickness sets in. I feel sorry for the girls because I feel like I'm not doing enough with them, but it's starting to get a little better! I haven't even taken many pictures which is unusual for me.

Three weeks ago, Autumn fell as we were going into daycare & hit a concrete step. We ended up in the ER getting stitches in her mouth and it messed 2 of her teeth up; 1 of them being a front tooth. We have went to a pediatric dentist in Amarillo 2x since the accident and he thinks that both teeth will survive & be ok. We were worried about one of them. The front tooth is kind of embedded in her gum, but looks like it may be coming down some. We go back in 2m to make sure everything is good. Poor girl has been through it all!!

Tonight is the Pregnancy Outreach Center Fundraiser @ the Goodlett Gym. They have a silent & live auction and a great meal & it's all for a great cause!! Hope you all have a great weekend!! And Joycelyn- here's some pictures!

Quanah Homecoming 2009

Last Friday was Quanah's homecoming game and we attended mainly because Tara, Levi's cousin, was a Homecoming Queen Nominee. We got there with about 7 minutes left until half and then watched the opponent's marching band in which the girls were in awe of. I didn't get any pictures of all the nominees on the field b/c Montana was sitting in my lap while Autumn was with Joycelyn and then Sheri. So to top our night off- Tara was crowned Homecoming Queen. We were so excited!! Our section probably looked like a bunch of idiots screaming and yelling! lol

These pictures were after half-time. Autumn's hair was curled all pretty, but the weather staightened it out as soon as we stepped out of the car! My kids love Tara and Tana and we and thankful for them to be a part of our kids lives!!! :)

1st Day of Preschool

Well today was Montana's 1st Day of Preschool. She has been waiting for this day for months, and when we attended Open House we were given her first homework assignment which was really cute. We were to trace her hand around a heart and since there are 5 fingers, we were supposed to write 5 things that were special about her. She had so much fun helping to determine the 5 things. And we wrote:

1. I am very loving and caring.
2. I am a great big sister.
3. I love to have fun- sing & dance.
4. I am a big helper.
5. I love to learn and read.

The funny part was her coming up with things that were special about her. One of her things was that she was "cute." It made us laugh! And Miss Autumn wasn't happy that she didn't have homework! lol Next year she'll get to go too! And Montana wouldn't let me take any pictures of her at home, but when we got to preschool she was all smiles!!

I am just excited that she has become such a cute and funny little girl! What else could I ask for?

Biggest Looser Update

For those of you who don't know... At work, we have had a biggest looser contest between employees going on since June 15th. At the end of the 90 days, my boss said he would give the winner $240 cash money. 3 employees started the challenge, but 1 employee no longer works with us so it is between me and 1 other employee. And he and I have been head to head almost the entire 3 months. So next Tuesday is the FINAL weigh day to determine the winner. As of today, I have lost 13.6 lbs (7%) and my competition has lost 17 lbs (6% of his weight he started at). Therefore, this last week is very crucial!!!!!!! I know I can do this... it is just so hard!!!!!!

And as Belinda said when she was loosing weight, some people are so negative! She has told me that people still make the comment to this day that she is too skinny. Well she hasn't lost any weight in 3 months, she's just maintaining her weight and I think she looks AWESOME!! So every time I feel discouraged about how people react to me trying to loose weight I think of Belinda. And no I'll never be as small as she is b/c I am just built bigger, but she is my inspiration!! And just for the record... I am still human so I do splurge every now and then, but I have made the choice to loose weight and for our family to eat better! The girls already eat better and Montana LOVES to do sit-ups, push-ups and exercise with me! But they will always LOVE cookies!! :)

I hope everyone had an excellent Labor Day Holiday! I gave the girls mini manicures and pedicures yesterday and Montana said that her massage felt good! Pictures to follow...

Thoughts Swarming...

Have you ever had a million things going on in your head at once.... Of course you have, that's life these days!! This past week I seem to have been swarmed by my thoughts. At work and at home I seem to be working on one thing but thinking about the next thing that needs to be done! And I'm not complaining, I'm just thinking that our life is getting crazy!!

...Tonight is Montana's Open House at Ms. Angie's Preschool, I'm so excited for her!...

...Next Friday is Quanah's homecoming and Tara is a Homecoming Queen Nominee so Joycelyn is making mums for the girls...

...I'm having a Scentsy booth next Saturday & my Mom is coming in to watch the girls...

...In just 2 weeks, Lacy & I are having a baby shower for another friend, its starting to get into crunch time to make sure we have everything done & since I seem to be a perfectionist- I'm already stressing! :)...

...Laundry seems to NEVER go away, and either do the dishes...

...The girls may be fighting one minute, yet hugging the next...

...I need to get the girls a dress that isn't a summer dress, guess I better get one ordered...

...I really need to get Quicken downloaded into my computer...

...We finally got Autumn a Tag Junior (since Montana loves her Tag), but it still needs to be downloaded...

...my office is crying to be cleaned & organized...

...I hate filing papers at work, but it seems to be a lot of what I've been doing- organizing!...

...But oh how I LOVE Levi and the girls & I wouldn't trade my life for anything!..

...And above all, I thank God for allowing me to have the life I have!!!!...

I seemed swamped in my head but when I think about it, I wouldn't ever trade it. Levi and I love the life we have and live everyday to the fullest because we don't hold what tomorrow will bring!!

A Barbie Jeep

Holy Cow- I only posted 1x in August. I'm way behind & I'm sorry! We have been wanting to get the girls a Barbie Jeep or an Escalade, but let me say I wasn't paying $300-$350 for one either. I think that is outrageous, so I told Levi to start looking for one. He is addicted to Craigs list, but I'm not complaining because he found this Jeep on there 2 days ago. The battery and charger are good and the radio works- Excellent! And by the looks of this picture the lady e-mailed me, it almost looks brand new and for ONLY $100.

We usually buy something big for each of the girls birthday that they can both use, and we get grandparents to pitch in. Therefore, the girls have gotten a trampoline and a flat screen TV and DVD player by doing this. Since Autumn's birthday is next month, my Mom and my Dad are contributing to pay for this Barbie Jeep for the girls. The best part about them being so close in age is that you can get stuff for them to share where they can get bigger stuff! :)

So, we are headed to Iowa Park in just a few minutes to pick the Jeep up, and on into WF to get a few things I need for a baby shower me and a friend are planning. It'll be a long night, but so worth it! I'll post pictures later with the girls riding it- I'm sure they'll be all smiles!!! :)

Well this picture sums up what we've been doing a lot of this summer! In a little over 2 weeks, Montana will start preschool 2 days a week and gymnastics will gear up. She is so excited to meet Ms. Angie and Ms. Kim! Autumn is becoming a little toddler instead of a baby, and I can't believe how much she is grown up in the past few months.

Even though summer is winding down, I feel like we just keep on going! We are having an end of summer cook-out for friends, I'll be having a Scentsy Booth in Sept, and me and a friend are planning a baby shower for another friend. Looks like we won't slow down until October, o wait- that's Autumn's b-day party and the Pregnancy Outreach Center Fundraiser. It looks like we have something every weekend for the next couple of months, but that's ok because we have lots of FUN being busy!

If I still have anyone reading this, I am still here. I guess I just took a little blog break. Just like everyone else, I can't believe that summer is coming to an end so quickly! We have been busy with our nieces and nephew and our extended families!

Tomorrow we are headed to a bridal shower for a friend in Crowell. I used to work with her at the Steakhouse while I was in college. Oh how I miss the good ole days!! Then on Sunday we are off to Castaway Cove in WF with my SIL and her husband. The girls are looking forward to it!!

Levi and I have been on vacation this week and we have enjoyed every minute of it! I am not looking forward to heading back to work on Monday, plus it's the 1st of the month so it'll be a crazy day!! I got to go shopping with a good friend, Marci, on Monday in Lubbock. I throughly enjoyed it and look forward to the next time!! And to top my vacation off- my memory card in my camera isn't working. I need a camera experts help please!! My old card says, This memory card is protected. So I bought a new one and it says, Memory card error! It has been so frustrating not being able to take pics of the girls whenever I want! grrrrrrrrrr.... Help me if you can!!!!

Harris Family Cook-Out 2009

On June 27th the Harris Family got together at our house for a cook-out. We see everyone during the holidays, but that's about it. So this year, I decided to have something in the summer. It was fun and all the kids had a blast as well. We ate HB's and hot dogs, some rode horses, some played in the slip-n-slide and just visisted.

We are already planning for a weekend reunion next July @ Lake Luggert in Altus. Everyone should have fun at the lake! Here are some pics from the cookout!

We are off to Woodward to the waterpark this afternoon and then staying with Todd and Sheri so we can see Caelyn in her last rodeo at Canadian tomorrow morning! Then it's home to reality!!

If you're still out there- I am alive!! :) We have had a wild, but FUN summer so far!! We had a family cookout for the Harris Family at our house this past weekend and my niece & nephew (Todd & Sheri's kids) are now staying with us for the week. They plan to pick them up at the Wellington Rodeo on Saturday night. And Caeyln proceeded to tell me today that she wanted to stay 2 weeks, and I told her that her Mom would miss her then! But, to tell you the truth, Levi and I were talking earlier tonight and we're going to miss them a lot! They are so much fun, and a house with 4 kiddos never has a dull moment!!! :)

Caelyn (my niece) stayed here so that she could practice barrels and poles for her next rodeo on July 11 & 12. My Dad is on vacation so he is riding with her in the mornings & then we all ride at night. David (my nephew) has been hanging out with Levi at the feed store which he loves!! Tonight was the first night that we took them to the arena to actually set up barrels & poles, and to top it off- David decided he wanted to ride (& he hasn't shown interest in it to me before now). So we had a BLAST tonight, and I was able to get some pictures and edited a couple with picnik.

Autumn fell on concrete steps at daycare on Monday and she got her 1st black eye. She is a trooper though & the purple is already starting to fade as of today. But I did manage to take a picture of it while she was sleeping last night. Lots more pictures of the cookout & swimming lessons are coming soon, but please bear with me as I enjoy the week having my niece & nephew here with us!!

"Marriage"

Marriage- What a powerful word!!

In today's day and time, sometimes marriage isn't taken seriously. A week from today, Levi and I will celebrate our 7 yr anniversary! But in the last 6 months or so, we have saw people our age that married around the same time as us struggle. That makes my heart hurt! And trust me, our marriage hasn't been perfect, but we have to constantly work at it. Within the last 2 years, especially since Autumn has been born, Levi and I have learned to laugh at ourselves when we argue! What a blessing to be able to look at myself and say- "Quit being so dumb!"

These past 2 years have probably been the most stressed time in our marriage, mainly from trying to adjust to 2 kids & working. Our lives are so full and jam packed! Even though we have had so much stress, I wouldn't take it away! We have learned from everything and have grown closer to each other. The other day, Levi said- we need to spend some time alone, and I totally agree. We have become so wrapped up in our kids lives, we have forgot about us. We still LOVE our girls so much and wouldn't change anything for the world, but we know that we need a break every now and then.

We always tell the girls that we love each other when we tell them that we love them, and I think that is so important. Montana is old enough, and she knows that we love each other! That is so important to me. It is amazing how God works and makes us realize what's important in life! I thank God everyday for bringing me Levi and for blessing us with our girls (even though I still want more-LOL)! Life is so precious- Enjoy it!!!

*Quick Update*

We are on our 2nd week of swimming lessons and the girls are doing so good! Autumn jumps in and goes under, and Montana is finally kicking when she swims and has gotten half way under! I promise pictures will come soon!

We are Austin Bound @ 5 am in the morning to head to the State Track Meet!! We are all excited even though it will be a quick trip! Tara (Levi's cousin) is throwing the discus- she got 1st at regionals, and has a good shot @ state! Please pray for her to do well- I'm so happy for her (and she's only a junior)!!!!

My camera is storing lots of pics from our lake trip last Sunday to Lake Luggert in Altus, OK, but considering I'm packing and getting up @ 4am, I'll post when we get back along with track meet pics! We are coming home Saturday after we visit the capital, and then on Sunday we have a swimming b-day party to attend. Therefore, our weekend is jammed packed! And starting Monday, the girls start swimming lessons @ Vernon College for 2 weeks. So, if you don't hear from me in awhile- please know I'm alive just BUSY with kids & my job!!

A lot has been happening at the Woods house lately! And the reason I actually am getting to blog is because I'm home from work with a sick kid. Autumn got sick on me this morning so we stayed home and she is sleeping now while Montana and I are goofing off (& blogging)!

We had a Senior Party for Michele @ our house about a week and a half ago. We had a lot of fun and so did the girls! Montana became attached to a girl she's never really seen before. Thank you Candace for being so sweet to Montana! We are trying to teach Montana to ride her bike, so that Autumn can have the tricyle. This past weekend I finally set up the pool that Joycelyn bought Montana for her birthday, and they had so much fun! We attended a friends wedding and reception on Saturday and the one picture I took of Montana and a little boy named Brady- my flash didn't go off! Bummer!

My suburban has been in the shop all week trying to figure out what is wrong with it. As of right now, they think it is an electronic module. I don't know car talk, but I'm sure it's gonna get expensive! We are planning to go to the State Track Meet in Austin next weekend to watch Tara (Levi's cousin) throw the discus. She got 1st at regionals and has a good chance at state. It will be a quick trip though, we will leave on Friday and come back Saturday. Then our summer really gets busy- swimming birthday party, swimming lessons for 2 weeks, and a family cookout. June makes me tired when I look at the calendar and see all the writing on it! LOL

Titus 2 Tuesday

Since I skipped last week's Titus 2 Tuesday, I will play catch up today. In today's day and time everyone is extremely busy and that makes it even harder to stay in touch with friends. These 5 ladies have became my friends throughout the years, we've all went separate ways, but I still manage to stay in touch with them somehow. Some I've been friends with since junior high, high school or even within the last year. No matter the length of time, I treasure each one of them and am proud to call them my friend!!

In no particular order:

SHERI, is my sister-n-law, and I have known her for just a little over a year now. From the minute my brother introduced us I knew we could be friends. My girls have grown to love her so much (I think more than Todd-LOL), and we have grown to love her kids- David & Caelyn. I think she is the perfect match for Todd and that they will happy together. We live 2 1/2 hrs apart, but we still talk on the computer and by phone. I would love to see her more, but I know I can call her anytime and she would be here!! Thank you Sheri for not only being my sister-n-law, but also my friend! Luv ya girl!

CHEYENNE, is a friend I graduated with. She moved to Crowell our sophomore year and we became friends from the start! We have so many stories! While in college, I stayed with her a lot in WF when I had tests. She was my maid of honor 7 yrs ago (next month) and she is still one of my dearest friends. I have been there when her Mom died of cancer, when her Dad died of a heart-attack, when she got married, and just 4 months ago when she became a Mom to the most precious little girl- Addison. My girls LOVE their cousin!!! I haven't met a stronger, more courageous person!! Cheyenne, you are my inspiration and I would do anything for you! Thank you for being you and for being my friend!!!

LACEY, has been my friend since I moved to Crowell in 8th grade. We became friends b/c our Mom's worked together, and evern though she is 3 yrs younger we have stayed friends. As of today, I think we are better friends then ever before b/c we are in the same stage of life now! In January, she got married and Montana and I got to be part of the wedding! She was also in my wedding (when she was only a sophomore)!! LOL I don't get to see her as much now days as I would like, but we always talk on the computer and phone. One day she will have kids and I will get to be there for that- I'm very thankful! Thank you Lacey for being part of my life, even though we weren't always in the same stage of life! And thanks for being my friend!

BELINDA, has became my friend over the past year. I have known her and her family since we started attending church at North Groesbeck, but within the past year have became better friends. She had a miscarriage during the time I was pregnant with Autumn. At this time we were just church friends. Sometimes I feel that she may be sad when she looks at Autumn and thinks about her "Emma" but maybe that is why God made my girls love Belinda so much b/c let me tell you- Montana lives to see Belinda!!! We really started hanging out when I started going to the gym and she is my inspiration to keep going!!! Levi loves to pick on her 2 boys, and Matthew picks back at him. Therefore, I feel our families have came together and I am so thankful that God brought Belinda into my life!!! Thank you for being my friend and for loving my girls because they LOVE you!

LACY, I have known her since I moved to Crowell in the 8th grade. We were in horse club together and had the same interests. Throughout high school, we hung out a lot (especially at my house- she didn't ever want to go to her house LOL), and I witnessed her getting married and having 4 babies in 3 years (YES you heard me right)!!! Her husband Ty was in a major horse accident that put him in the hospital in Lubbock for a long time, and then after he came home his appendix ruptured and had been that way for 11 days so they were back in Lubbock. During this time her house caught fire through the electrical outlets and burnt the TV's up and ruint all their meat in the freezer. Despite this hardship all in 1 YEAR, she has stood strong and taken care of her family! Not once have I heard her complain- she just does it! Lacy, I admire you and envy you- I wish I was more like you!! Thank you for being my friend all these years!!!

I have so many other woman that have impacted me, but it will have to wait until next weeks edition!

Mini Spa Day

Yesterday when Montana woke up around 8:30am, I told her that we would paint her finger nails and toe nails before Autumn woke up. After I took the old polish off and trimmed them, I told her that I was going to check on Sissy before we started. Well, Autumn was sitting straight up in the bed, so she literally laid on my leg while I was painting Montana's nails. When I was done with her, she stood up off her stool and was talking to me. When I turned around Autumn was sitting on the stool holding her foot up for me to paint her toe nails (for the 1st time). I got them painted, but had to hold them up off the floor until they dried and she was gone to play as soon as I got done. I still can't believe she sat there that long. Needless to say, I had to get a picture.

*Please Note* This picture was about the 3rd one I took b/c Autumn just couldn't leave her feet still. You just gotta love a 19 month old!!! So I guess you can say we had a Mini Spa Day @ our house yesterday!! Have a great Sunday!

Horses & Parade

We have been very busy this week with a lot of extra stuff like riding horses, going to a parade, and seeing Hannah Montana at the theater. On Tuesday night, we saddled our 2 older horses and went for a ride which was ended shortly after b/c of the clouds rolling in. Montana loves to ride Snoopy (my horse), but I think the saddle hurts her when she is on with me. Needless to say, we need a saddle for her and another horse, but that's just more $$ so we're trying to make due. Autumn LOVES riding with Levi or me, and screams when she has to get off. She is definately my animal lover. She is so good with our dogs, and they let her do anything to them!

Wednesday was the Santa Rosa Parade in Vernon. We just watched while Levi rode b/c that is the longest parade and I was worried about the girls getting too tired & HOT before the end of it. Levi is the Riding Club President so he really wanted us to ride, but just didn't happen this time. On Thursday we got to see Hannah Montana at the Ritz in Wellington. I think Levi and I liked it more than Montana. I think she is still a bit too young for a movie, but she still did so good and enjoyed singing to the songs! And thanks to my Aunt Sue who watched Autumn while we were at the movie.

Well, this morning I have already been to United to get some things before Levi left for work (I didn't want to have to drag the girls), and have done a couple loads of laundry. I sure wish I could sleep on Saturdays every now and then, yet this is when I get a ton done- that is before 8:30am!

B-day Party & Girl's Bathroom

We had Montana's 3rd birthday party last Sunday @ Cotton & Kim's barn due to the rain. She's had 3 birthdays and 2 out of 3 have been at the barn due to the weather. This time of year is so unpredictible. Montana had a blast and enjoyed everyone being there!

We have finished the girl's bathroom. I only like a few things to hang up. I am waiting on the towels that I am getting their name put on, so it's not all done, but close enough. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I plan on enjoying today at home with Levi and the girls! I want to clean out the girl's room (toys galore), but I'll just do what I want and enjoy just hanging out with the family at home. We'll see what I get done! :)

Titus 2 Tuesday

For the past couple of weeks I have been following several fellow bloggers as they write their Titus 2 Tuesdays on women who have inspired them, and today I have decided to join in!

For my first Titus 2 Tuesday post, I want to dedicate this to my best friend, my Nanaw! My Nanaw encouraged, helped, & listened to me whenever I needed. We lived in Wellington until I was in 2nd grade and was right down the road from her. I remember being upset when we had to move, but not until a few weeks ago did I realize how sad I was when we left. A few weeks ago, my Dad gave my brother and I all of our little kids pictures that he had gotten from my Nanaw's collection of pictures. And in this mix of pictures I found letters that I had mailed her during the 1st year that we had moved. My question, "Why would she keep those all these years?" As I read through the letters, I thought to myself, "What a dork! I sounded so stupid!" But to her, I didn't sound stupid, I was a little kid who loved her and wrote letters to her just to let her know that!

Throughout high school, I became even closer to her. I called her at least once a week and saw her often. After graduation, I think I even talked to her more and saw her more. (I finally had my own cell phone & car! LOL) When I started attending MSU in WF, I was taking a summer class and had to be to class by 7AM!! (I know I was nuts) I would get up @ 4:30am and leave at 5:15am. Nanaw always got up by 6am and everyone knew that, so sometimes she would get a call @ 6 on the dot! :) I would tell her to just talk to me b/c I was getting sleepy. She never said no or complained about talking to me everyday, sometimes 2x a day! I told her about tests, projects, work, etc. and she never forgot them. If I told her I had a test in a week, she would ask me in a week how the test went. Most of all, she never forgot the tings I told her and she cared!!

When I had Montana, she stayed at the hospital ALL day & ran out of oxygen (they had to get some from the hospital) just to be able to see Miss Montana and she was the 1st person to hold her other the Levi & I. I will treasure that always!!! Nanaw started going down hill when Montana was about 9 months old and I found out that I was pregnant again. I had so many things going on during this time, but I'll never forget what she said when I told her I was pregnant. She said that I had my hands full already and that I was just adding to my plate. I got my feelings hurt at first, and have always thought she said that b/c she knew she wouldn't ever see my 2nd child. But as of today, I know that my Nanaw was RIGHT!!!!! I have my hands full!!!! LOL I told her before she went to heaven that if I had a little girl I was going to name her Autumn Joy. (Joy was for Joyce) She just smiled and said I hope you have a boy. Well, on Oct. 9, 2007 we had a baby girl and I decided to go ahead and name her Autumn Joyce instead of shortening it to Joy. I know that Montana will always have pics of Nanaw and her, but Autumn never will. I just keep telling myself that she will have memories that we share with her and she will carry on her name!

May 5, 2009 is the 2 yr anniversary of her passing and I still miss her dearly!! I have tears just writing this! I always just wish that she could see Autumn or have been here to meet Sheri (my brother's wife) and her kids, David & Caelyn. What great kids they are! There are so many things I wish, but I know she is seeing all of this from the gates of Heaven!!! Amen!!

As the years go by, I will make tons of memories with my kids, but I will never forget the memories that Nanaw made with me!!!! I love you Nanaw!!!

What's going on?

Blogger isn't letting me type above that pic- Frustrating!! Anyways that is Montana at their 1st egg hunt that Autumn didn't want her pic made at.

I think my title hits it right on the money- what has been going on? So much has happened within the last few weeks, I don't even think I can answer that question! LOL

This week has been tough for my family members! Both of the girls had the stomach bug that lasted about 36 hours, and Levi had the stomach bug, plus a major headache! He went to the dr and got a prescription b/c it was so bad. And did I mention that this started in our house on Sat. the 11th and ended Thurs. the 16th. In between this time, at least one person was sick everyday- except me!! I guess that is so I could take care of them! :) But, tomorrow morning we leave for Arnett, OK for my brother & sister-n-law's reception, and if I get sick during the weekend I will be so mad so PRAY for me!!

During Easter, the girls enjoyed 4 egg hunts (Autumn- just 3 b/c of her sickness) and Montana went to her 1st skating b-day party. Her best friend, Dylan, from daycare had her 4th B-day Party and Montana LOVED it!

Montana's birthday is in 6 days and she'll be 3!! I wonder everyday where has time gone? We seem to be running a race for the next couple of weeks, and it doesn't look llike we will get to the finish line until the 1st weekend of May!! We have a wedding reception, Montana's b-day and party, Addison's baptism, and our church meal night. Plus, working and getting a workout in everyday for the 21 day challenge at F3. I know I can do it!!

Just a quick note to say I finally lost another lb. I am only up to 4 lbs. I know, but I have been stuck for about 3 weeks. I wanted to jump for joy in the gym yesterday when I read the scales!

On another note, the girls have the daycare Easter egg hunt today. I won't be able to attend, but Montana and I packed over 5 dozen eggs full of candy last night! They will have fun! Levi finished painting the girls bathroom last night, so we'll lay the laminate flooring tomorrow. My Mom is coming in and she is going to take the girls for a few hours so we can get it done. I forgot to take a before pic, but the after will be awesome (especially if you have seen it)!!

A Perfect Night

Tonight was the perfect night to be outside, and we took full advantage of it! Levi sprayed the weeds around the house while we played in the front yard on the cross ties. Autumn got pretty brave about walking on them and balancing herself!

I did my last day of observations at Quanah on Tuesday- Yeah!! I just have to get everything together and get it all sent into Region 4, and sign up for my TeXes Exam.

A boost of confidence!!

I got a BIG boost of confidence today!!! I tried on jeans @ Owens in a size smaller & they fit! I'm sure my face was glowing b/c I was so happy!! LOL I haven't weighed in a few weeks b/c it just keeps telling me the same weight & that I've only lost 3 lbs. Well people, I have been loosing inches apparently! I'm actually excited to weigh this week and see what it says!

Other than that, we have been up to the same old thing. We went to Nick & Julie's engagement dinner Saturday night and had a great time with everyone! Last week we went to a circus, witnessed friends renew their wedding vows after 15 years, and Levi built 2 hog traps for a guy. This week I plan on being a little less busy. We plan on being at home b/c I have many areas of my house calling me... ...like paint, flooring, flowers for the porches, & getting a garden area ready!...

Carnival & Much More!

We have been up to a lot this past week. On Monday, we went to Wellington to take our heifer to be processed, we enjoyed the carnival Wednesday night and last night Levi and I went to Crowell to eat for Belinda's birthday! Sound packed- it was! I feel like I have ran a road race this week. As for today and tommorrow, we have lots of cleaning and picking up to do inside and outside.

We are loving the warm weather- while the girls play outside we can get a few things done! Today we have plans to get together some big pots to put on our back porch and a couple around the front door steps. This may mean a trip to Wal-Mart to get some plants, but I am so ready to get a few things like this done.

Thanks to Gina and Tim (my cousins) who cooked supper for us on Monday night while in Wellington. We appreciate it! I will leave you with abunch of pictures!! We told Montana that if she was good that we would go back to the carnival on Sunday afternoon, so I may not be through with the carnival just yet! Have a Super Saturday!!! :)

On Friday night Montana decided she wanted to make some sugar cookies, and seeing that it was Friday I let her. We had a lot of fun, while Daddy & Autumn watched.

Yesterday we made a quick trip to WF to pick up an upright freezer that we had ordered, and we ended up getting a new grill. This has been on our "need" list for awhile. Our grill was bought the night before Montana was born (I never will forget that story- we stayed up till 3 am putting it together!). So, 3 years later it was on its last leg!

The High chair

Most of you know that Montana was 18 months old when Autumn was born; therefore, we never officially put the high chair up. We left it sitting for when Autumn could eat cereal at 4 months, and every now and then I would put her in it & lean it back just for something different for her.

Daycare has been letting Autumn (she is now 17m) go up to the 2 yr old room some since next month she will officially move out of the baby room, and they let her sit at the big kid tables. And last night, I let her be a big kid too when she got to eat supper @ the table. Montana turns 3 next month and we have had a high chair in our house continusally since she was 4 months old! Last night we finally said goodbye to it and put it in storage! After having that thing in the way for almost 3 years, it sure is nice to see a table and chairs. I recently bought a counter height table back in October and I'm not very comfortable with Autumn sitting that high. Montana can barely get up and down from it, so we brought their little kid table out of their room and 2 chairs into the dining room just for the 2 of them.

Since I haven't taken a picture of anything since my last post, I guess all you'll get is an update! This weekend my garage sale went ok- I made over $200 (my last one made $350). Levi's head cold seemed to get worse, and by Saturday at lunch he was burning up and had no energy. After he slept awhile, he dropped the fever.

Sunday afternoon was a lazy day. We enjoyed the outside weather and gave both of the big dogs baths. Our bordie collie puppy didn't like it to much, but the other border collie enjoyed every minute of it. And needless to say, Montana and Autumn were right in the middle of it! Our weenie dog, Katy, also got a bath and has been getting to come in again. She was my "baby" until I had kids, but after kid #2 it got harder to give her baths so that she could come in. In other words, she was in heaven again, and the girls have loved it too. Montana annoys me because she annoys her so much. She chases her and even crawls under the table after her.

Our new blinds (the right ones this time) came in yesterday- YEAH!! I will be sure to take some before and after pictures for you! I'm excited!

Last night, the Childress Elementary had their book fair open so we stayed in Childress for it before we headed home. And guess what Montana got- Barbie, The Diamond Castle & Barbie, Island Princess. Can you imagine that? (she watches these movies over & over & over & over)

She pointed at the Diamond Castle Book and said:

M: Who's that Momma?

Me: Well, who is that?

M: That's Leona & that's Lexa.

And then I thought to myself, that for sure had earned her that book!! She then preceeded to sit in a chair and flip pages and talk about the pictures. I have a feeling she will love to read!!

And as you can see, all of these were very worthy of pictures, but I have none- Sorry!

This week I am not doing any observations mainly b/c schools are about to let out for spring break, so the week after spring break I will start back and get my remaining 2 days out of the way.

Sorry it took me over 2 weeks to make a new post. Life around here has been busy! The weekend before last we were in WF shopping and then took a trip bowling with Belinda and her family. And then this past weekend, Levi was in a 24 hr varmint hunt. I didn't really do anything besides tend to the girls, clean some of my house, and do laundry. Sound boring~ it was!

Yesterday, I completed my 3rd day of teacher oservations. I went to Crowell Elementary and had a lot of fun. (Crowell is where I graduated) I only have 2 more days of observations~ Yeah! And last night I went to a Scentsy meeting in WF. It was fun to just get away, but I didn't see my girls more than 30 min. yesterday. That was the hard part! Scattered Thoughts

A lot has been on my mind the past few days, and I really don't know why all the sudden I feel like I can't stay focused on anything?!

1. I am very nervous about doing classroom observations at Childress Elem. tomorrow (kindergarten) ~ maybe b/c I know very few people at this school. Being nervous about this I think has caused a lot of what is going on in my rambling head. Pray for me! :)

2. The paint and flooring for the girls bathroom has been staring at us since we bought it like in October. It has to be done by Montana's party!

3. Our new blinds for our living, dining & kitchen came in Mon., but they were wrong! Thank goodness it was the woman's fault at the store, so that they will reorder them again. Now, we have to go to WF this weekend & take the wrong one's back to the store. How much longer till I will have my blinds?

4. I never get all of what I need done! I am ready for it to stay light longer. I am tired of getting home @ dark everyday. I want to enjoy some time outside with my family!! And we desperately need to buy a new grill~ ours is on the last leg!

5. We have lived in our house 2 yrs in May. Why does the office still look like it did 2 yrs ago? Will it ever look different?

6. I need to register for the TeXes Exam, so that I will be all ready to take an internship for the 2009-10 school year.

Ok, enough of my ramblings, but now you see why I have a hard time concentrating on any one thing and why I feel stretched from A-Z. Just pray that tomorrow will be a good day at the Elem. Maybe then, I can be a more focused person. Happy Hump Day!!

Valentine's Party & Night Out!

Well, we had a great weekend!! Friday, the girls had a Valentine's party @ daycare and got tons of candy that has been hid! They were on a sugar high Friday night!!

This is the first year since we've had kids that we have done anything on Valentine's Day without kids, and it was fun! We went to the Longhorn Ranch Steakhouse @ Crowell with the Eddins and an old high school friend, Lacy and her husband Ty. It was great food and lots of reminising about "back when..." Kyle and Belinda had only seen The Smiths @ my kids birthday parties so neither of them knew each other well, but by the end of the night I felt like we all had been friends forever! Thanks for a Great time guys! (And I see Belinda already beat me to this post! LOL) Our next outing is planned for the guys to do some predator hunting! :)

My weight on Friday excited me this week! I weighed 2 weeks ago for my inital weight, and then last week I had gained 3 lbs which I knew was from muscle building, but I was still heartbroken a little. On Friday, I had lost 5 lbs., so now I am 2 lbs. under what I started! YEAH!! That made me feel so good! After what I ate for Valentines, I better be ready to burn some fat tomorrow!!

Well, these past few weeks a lot has been happening and pictures have just been storing on my camera, so today I will finally post them. Please ignore the fact that it is 3:30 in the morning. I woke up for my nightly bathroom trip, and decided I was blogging! By the time I get the girls to sleep, I am out, so this seems to be the only time I have.

I haven't reported to the blogging world about me joining the gym so now I will. I joined F3 in Childress at the end of January and go there every afternoon after work (I have missed a couple). It makes me feel better about myself, and I feel like clothes are not so "snug" anymore! I love it! I have not measured yet, but I need to so that I can see what I loose in inches. Mainly because I have went from not excersing at all to doing weights, cardio, & abs 5x a week! I will keep you updated~ my goal is 20 lbs by May 1st~ and I have done great so far!

The girls are growing so quickly! Autumn has hit the funnies stage ever!! She literally RUNS everywhere she goes, and now the fight is on with Montana. Autumn is a pretty good trooper about letting Montana hug and drag her around, but every now and then Autumn gets the best of her. And it is the hardest thing to not laugh!!

I am giving a shout-out to BREEANN, my niece. I found out just the other day that she knows about my blog, and I just want to say I love ya girl!!! Please leave a comment~ I would love to here from you!! Montana and Autumn miss you so much!

Brrrr....It's Freezing!!

It is so cold outside!! We aren't used to this in our part of the world! Today, I got off around 1:30pm due to freezing rain. My boss didn't want me out on the road with both the girls if it got worse, so the girls and I hung out at home watching TV with Montana and reading book after book with Autumn. We cooked homeade chili tonight, and enjoyed a fire! The girls were exhausted after their baths and were both asleep in less then 10 minutes. Autumn ran fever all day Sunday, she is better now just a lot of drainage. She went to daycare today and did ok, but tonight she can't stay still because she can't breathe. Poor girl!!

And when Levi got off work, we got to go with him to break ice and check animals. That rarely happens with me being in Childress because I am never home until @ least 6pm in which it is already dark. The girls really enjoyed it!! Here are some pictures I took tonight as we did chores at the house. I hope everyone has a great week!! :)

2008 is gone, but we have many, many memories to hold on to!

January~ we attended Playhouse Disney in WF, it was great and Montana LOVED it! Autumn was only 3 months old, so she slept most of the time. Levi turned 28!

February~ nothing exciting happened except Valentine's; Montana loved the candy and we ate supper together.

March~ Easter! Montana hunted eggs at least 4 times, and started to get the hang of it.

April~ Montana turned 2 with My Friends Tigger and Pooh!

May~ May 5th was the 1 yr. passing of my "best friend", my Nanaw. My cousin, Rhae, graduated from 8th grade!

June~ Our 6 year Anniversary!! Where has time gone?

July~ the girls rode on the daycare float in the Childress parade and loved every minute of it!!

August~ I turned 24!

September~ went to Chuckie Cheese for the 1st time for Harper and Hutton's B-day! Montana was TERRIFIED of Chuckie Cheese.

October~ Autumn turned1! Montana was a "good" witch and Autumn was a fairy for Halloween!

November~ My brother, Todd, and Sheri got married!

December~ Cheyenne and Shawn had their 1st baby~ Addison Faith, Dec. 13th who is so precious! Autumn FINALLY started walking New Year's Eve! :)

2008 was a FUN year! We watched Autumn grow from a 3 month old to walking and acting so silly! Montana started carrying on conservations with us and wanted to be a mother hen to Autumn. Literally, we watched our kids "Sprout!" I know that right now they change everyday and we love and enjoy it!

In 2009 I want to...

* Develop my relationship with Jesus by praying and reading my bible. It's not good enough to just "know" him.

* Be a better Mom and wife.

* Do more stuff with my girls and not worry about the things that I need to get done. Life is to precious to worry about the small stuff!

* Try to not STRESS!! It makes me feel awful and I don't sleep very well.

* Become Healthy again! Autumn is 15 months old~ no excuse anymore! Being healthy so that I can be just as active as the girls is very important to me. I LOVE playing outside with them in the summer. Loosing weight and getting in shape would allow me to not be out of breath so fast.

Hello 2009!

Holy Cow~ it has been almost a month since a blog! What is wrong with me? Well, I have made excuses over and over again (they have been legitimate) but this time- NO excuses, just some catching up!!! We have been extremely busy through the holidays, but we loved every minute with everyone! Then last weekend a great friend of mine, Lacey, got married. Montana and I were both in the wedding.

My teacher certification classes ended Jan. 2nd (can I hear a HALLELUJAH!) Now, I have to get in my 5 days of observations this spring, and pass the TeXes Exam. Surely if I can endure 16 weeks of an online course, I can manage this! Sometimes I feel overwhelmed, but I just have to sit back and take a deep breath and know that GOD is in control, not me!

For Christmas the girls got a new registered chocolate and white border collie. Her new name is "Sadie," and both girls love her. She has turned into rollie pollie. I will have to take some pictures of her! Levi and I didn't exchange gifts, we were saving for new wood blinds in the living room, dining room, and kitchen~ and tomorrow night we are going to look for them!!! :)

At work, we have been building new offices (which be be so cool when they are done) so it has been pretty hectic along with the new year. We also got new computers and will be installing a new software program. Everything all at once!!

Well, we survived everything that we had going on last weekend. Cheyenne's baby, Addison, was born on Saturday. We went to WF Sunday to see her and Montana was a "mother hen!" She is so precious! When we got to the Fantasy of Lights my camera battery died! I wasn't very happy. We were going to walk through it, but it went fom being 80 that afternoon to low 40's when we were at the Fantasy of Lights right after dark. By the time we got back to Quanah, it was only like 24. Crazy how the temperature can drop that quick!

Our Christmas party was a lot of fun! I was stressed that day about everything, but it turned out good just like it always does! This Sunday we are having a party at work so I will be taking pictures for that. I love this time of year because you just get to hang out with family and friends!! Other than that, I have just being trying to stay up with school work! (during this time it is so hard) I don't have much else to say except have a great week!!

Ok, so today I am a little confused. Here recently, I have confessed to 2 or 3 fellow bloggers about being a lurker. It has made me feel better and they also know that I read their blogs. The blogs that I become addicted to always have kiddos around my kids age, and it is so fun to read them because their stories are a lot like mine. And so they won't think I'm a complete stalker, I try to tell them who I am and what led me to their blog. Well, today I ran across something that hit be wrong, and now I'm wondering if I should have. And to the bloggers that I have de-lurked on, I LOVE your blogs and look forward to reading them, and seeing pictures!! As to anyone who is a lurker on my blog, please reveal yourself. Well, blogger won't let me type above that picture, but o well. I'm not going to let that get me frustrated!! We have been extremely busy lately, same as everyone else. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and now are shopping full speed ahead!! I can't believe it is Christmas time again!! I love this time of year and I can't wait to see the girls faces on Christmas morning! Montana has more understanding of Santa this year, so she will be so thrilled!! Autumn will be 14 months on the 9th. She walks holding onto stuff and stands in the middle of the floor trying to get her balance. She is still in No rush to take off walking! It is so different knowing that Montana was walking full speed ahead by now, but I know that she is another person!

My school work (to be a teacher) has been occupying my time in the past few weeks, that is where I have been hiding!! The class is over Jan. 2~ only a month to go. And I thought 3 1/2 years ago when I graduated with a Finance degree that I was done! Guess not!! Work has been extremely busy~ just that time of year in a retail store!! Where has time gone?

Well, over 2 weeks since my last post but I am still alive!!! I have so many pictures to upload and post, but never enough time to set down and load them up.

In the past 2 weeks, we have attended a wedding shower, baby shower, halloween party, halloween carnival, and went trick or treating. And this weekend, we are set for another baby shower for a dear friend of mine. The girls have enjoyed all these things, but sure are exhausted when we get home!

Levi has being "living" in the garage!! He is building hog traps for people, and usually has them sold before he has them built. He has had a few nights off, but now has 3 more sold so he will be busy again.

Scentsy and Mary Kay are taking more of my time now that the holiday season is approaching!! By the way, if you need a gift holler at me. Well, I am late posting on Autumn's party but that is nothing new!! LOL Autumn turned 1 Oct. 9th and we had her party this past Saturday. It was great, just missed a few of our family and friends who couldn't be there. Autumn soaked it all in and loved to get to dig in the cake!! I thought she would have a sugar rush and be wired all night, but when everyone left she was out!!! I only managed to get a few pictures during the party mainly of her eating the cake, dang what a bad Mom I am!! Montana LOVED singing Happy Birthday to her and actually did fairly well with the party being all about Sissy.

These past few days I have been drained!! I guess from the party, but also everything else. I have been trying to juggle work, kids and home, school, Scentsy, and Mary Kay almost everyday! That explains why I have been up till midnight or later laying clothes out for the next day and packing bags- especially since Montana has decided to just pee in her pants! (frustrated sigh!) She goes some, but if she is playing and you ask her she throws a fit and then 5 minutes later pees all over herself. Yesterday, she had 4 accidents at daycare!! (Poor Marci and her employees) We are ALL hoping she will snap out of this soon. She has kind of gotten out of her rebellious stage. She still acts up some, but doesn't just push you until you can't take it anymore.

"You Darn Right I did!"

Montana's new favorite saying- "You Darn Right I did!" Levi told her to say that a couple of nights ago, and she thinks it is so funny. Hearing it in person is hilarious because of her facial expressions- it is just so cute!!!!! :) And she is starting to get to where she can carry on a conversation with you instead of just sentences, and that's scary! :) I can't believe that she is old enough to be doing that!!

We have been up to the same ole things- work, home, sleep!! LOL That sums it up good enough! Until next time, Happy Hump Day!!

Just a Random Update!!

We have been quite busy this week with just odds and ends!!! Ashley and I started walking last week at 5:30 am and are up to 2.2 miles. Although, every other week her husband's work schedule changes and this week we had to walk at night. We have only been able to walk one night- bummer!! She has 3 kids- 1 in school, and I have 2. It is so hard trying to get everything done in one night!! I am ready for 5:30 Monday- it seems to make me feel better throughout the day.

Autumn turns "1" in exactly 1 week, it makes me tear up just thinking about it!! Montana is excited for the party so she can have birthday cake!! :)

My classes are going good, just having to learn to juggle it in between everything else I have to get done. And actually, I'm posting because I just turned in an assisgnment that was due by 11:59pm and Yeah I beat the deadline!! HAHA

Last weekend we got laminate hardwood flooring and paint for the girls bathroom. I wanted to have it done for Autumn's party on the 11th, but with 2 kids I think we are going to wait to even start it until after the party to where we aren't rushed at the end.

"Official Mouse Catcher!!"

Well, I bet the title of this post got your attention!! LOL This is such a FUNNY story, but I will try to make it short. Last week we saw a mouse crawl up between the tin and the concrete on our back porch and steal some of Katy's (our wienie dog) dog food. I can't stand little mice, they just creep me out. Well when Montana saw it she was scared because it would just stare at us! The next day Levi put bait out underneath the house, and we thought that was the end of our problem. NOT!!

A couple days later I was reading a book in my recliner and I could see something out of the corner of my eye. He went from the couch to underneath Autumn's walker and as I watched he took off for the hallway. I hollered at Levi to hurry and come in there and when I did the little mouse didn't know where to go, it was going just going back and forth. It finally dodged into the bathroom. Levi said, "Are you sure it was a mouse?" That was a no brainer for me!! :) Levi sat about 5 traps throughout the house that night. That night only one trap had been sprung in the office. A couple more days went by and NOTHING!!

Well, last night he appeared again and the laughter began!!!!! :) After we saw him he got up underneath the couch and Levi flipped the couch over and had a stick digging in there to get him. After 5 minutes passed, I went to finish giving Montana a bath. After about 15 minutes, Montana and I returned to the living room when Levi said the mouse was now behind the hutch. And listen to this- he put my flip-flops at one end of the hutch to block the hole and then had a trap on the other end to where he had to step on it. But, this mouse like JUMPED over it! He came out once and looked at us and then ran back. By this time Montana wants to stick her head back there and see the mouse again because he went bye-bye. She was standing in front of the hutch saying, "Bye-bye mouse." During this time, I got the broom for Levi and when he came out Levi had the broom in the air and smacked him DEAD right there!!!!

When Levi went to carry him outside all Montana could say was that mouse dead. Then she started imitating Levi and it was the funniest thing ever!!! She raised her arms in the air and acted she was going to smack the mouse and was saying, "Daddy did like this and bam killed that mouse." She was jumping up and down and laughing, and needless to say- Autumn SLEPT through all of our mouse adventure!

As the fall season begins, everyone has been decorating and getting their scarecrows put in their yards. Well Montana has noticed and she is very interested in them. Daycare put 2 medium size scarecrows in their yard at the first of the week, and that was the first thing she noticed when we got out of the car. She has to touch the red one and the blue one every time we get to daycare and every time we leave.

Well, sometimes in the morning to wake her up you have to ask her a question that draws her attention to set up and talk to you. This morning I asked her, "Does Marci's yard have 2 scarecrows in her yard?" She popped up off the pillow with her eyes wide open and lit up!! She responded, "Yeah there 2 of them- one red, one blue. There 1,2,3,4, 6,7,8,9,10 red and blue!" And then she kinda just leaned against me and hugged me. She spit all that out in about 2 seconds!! It was the funniest thing to listen to her ramble and still be halfway asleep, but needless to say, she was good and awake after that!!

Haircuts!!

Well, I just keep promising everyone that I will post a picture of Montana's haircut and here I am finally doing it. Last Wednesday both girls got their hair cut. This was Autumn's first haircut and we didn't cut a lot, just enough to keep it from looking shaggy. On the other hand, Montana's haircut was drastic and she LOVES it. She says, "It's so pretty Mommy."

I have been busy with my teacher certification classes, and actually I just finished an assignment tonight so I decided my blog was in desperate need of a NEW post!!

My Dad's birthday is today so HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!! We are having supper, cake and ice cream tomorrow night with Levi's sister and parents because Mike's (Levi's Dad) birthday is Saturday. Guess I need to get off of here and start baking a cake!! LOL

I think my heading title hit it right on the money! Montana has officially hit the "terrible two's" as of about a month ago, but this weekend she pushed us to the limit every chance she had. On Saturday I had a booth at the Fall Fest in Quanah and the girls stayed with Levi's Aunt Christie and cousins Tara and Tana. Thank ya'll for keeping them!! Montana wasn't feeling too well, so Sat. night when I got home we just stayed around the house.

Sunday was when the uproar began!!!! We were going to Chuckie Cheese in Wichita Falls for Harper and Hutton's B-day party. Montana didn't cooperate at all, and needless to say we came close 2 different times of just staying home. But, we did make it there and she got better as the day went on. We have been potty training for 2 weeks now, and it seems like this weekend we took a week back. She has been wanting a diaper on, I guess so she doesn't potty on herself, but I won't let her. I have worked too hard on this, and she is so stubborn, if I did let her I have a feeling she would go back to being a baby. As of right now, her swings are taken off her swing until she can learn to mind us. I can't believe we had to do this at 2, but it seems to be the only way to make her realize that she has to mind us. On a side note, she was a very happy 2 yr old last night as well as this morning. It is amazing how they can just snap out of it sometimes. When she is happy she is just the cutest and sweetest little girl!! Gotta love her!!

As for Autumn, she is just the happiest little girl!! She crawls as fast as she can now, and loves to go into their room after toys. Her favorite thing to do though is chase Montana, and Montana loves it as well, so they just giggle at each other forever. It is SO sweet!!

As for my school, apparently the power at Region 4 in Houston (which is where my classes are out of) is still off. I can't login to blackboard to do any assignments. I had assignments due yesterday but couldn't login all weekend. I am sure that we will be alloted more time, but it still makes me a little stressed just worrying about it, and about how far behind I am getting. I told Levi last night that it seems like every since I started this, it has been a three-ring circus. I hope all the kinks get worked out and I can accomplish this!!!

I can't believe that I am typing this at 5:30 am on Saturday, but I am!! I am getting all my stuff ready for the fall fest here in Quanah, I am having a booth for Scentsy Candles. The online class has gotten better, I have least got to where I can read it on my screen- yah!! And I am starting to pick up on learning to navigate through blackboard.

Well nothing has went as I planned it would tonight!!! Trying to learn to navigate this "Blackboard" which is where all my assignments, announcements, etc are is STRESSING me out. First of all my computer has something "jacked up" about it. Some of the icons ONLY on "blackboard" are so small I can't even begin to read them. I am calling the computer man tomorrow, I have to have it fixed!! I can't read what my assignments are or see when their due, except I know some of them are due by Sunday. I am going to bed and hopefully tomorrow I will figure it all out, MAYBE!! I have e-mailed my teacher so maybe she can help me. Anyways, off my soap box, but "God, Please help me get through this in one piece!!"

...Ready, Set, Run!!...
Well today I have mixed emotions as today I embark on a new adventure for me!! :) As of today my classes begin for me to become a teacher. I currently hold a BBA in Finance and have made the choice to pursue a teaching degree. The classes are through Region 4, who is partnering with the regions across the state, and are totally online. I will finish classes Dec. 21st, and then find an internship at a school for the 2009-2010 school year. During the internship I will have a classroom of my own and be considered a teacher just with a probationary certificate. After I have completed the internship and passed all the exams I will be FULLY certified!!

I have been finished with college for 3 yrs now and have added 2 kids to the family. Levi tells me to relax, that it'll be fine, but my kids are my first priority so PLEASE pray that I can handle all of the stress! I will continue to work at Owens full-time until the end of Summer 2009, after that my boss has agreed to let me work part-time to get the bookwork done. I ABSOLUTELY love my job, just hate the commute back and forth to Childress EVERYDAY!! My goal is to find a teaching job in Quanah, as Montana will be old enough to attend pre-school here in Quanah next year.

So many things are changing right now, especially with the girls, and I want to be with them as much as I can. I feel this is the route that I have to go, for myself and them!! My area of study will be EC-4 Generalist. (Heather- maybe you can help pass the word that I am doing this) and I will be to the school soon to talk to them!

Now, after my spill of what I had bottled up for the past 6 months, I leave you with adorable pics of the girls. I haven't posted any new pics in awhile so it may take me a couple of days to catch up!!

Well yesterday Montana got on her tricycle that she has had since Christmas but never can figure out how to make it go. And this time she made it go all the way across our porch, but every time she would do it she would get so excited that she would stop and then start again! I'm so proud of her!! But, potty raining and tricycle riding within 2 weeks- she is growing up right in front of my eyes!! :) Hope everyone is enjoying the rain and fall weather!!! I am!! :)

Potty Training 101!!

Wow how time has flown!! A lot has happened since the last time I blogged. Montana is now using the potty, and absolutely LOVES it!! Our labor day weekend just consisted of living in the bathroom! LOL But this past weekend we went to Vernon on Saturday and church on Sunday, and she did GREAT- no accidents all weekend!!

Autumn is now really wanting to stand up, all she does is pull on stuff trying to get up. She can get one foot on the ground, but she stays on her knee on the other leg. Needless to say, she gets very frustrated. Her birthday is a MONTH away!! Where has time gone, a year already!!

Levi has been dove hunting just a couple of times due to our 2 children, and both times he has taken Montana. But last night she didn't act very good while hunting, maybe b/c she was running on NO nap! Maybe this week I can let him go hunting by himself!! :)

I have found time to occupy myself with laundry, constant picking up behind 2 kids, and everyday stuff! Imagine that?! And I have became addicted to "The Pioneer Woman" website and have got several recipes from her!! Thanks Amy and Belinda!! I have even bought the ingriedients for 2 of the recipes, but never have enough time to actually make it. Maybe this week is the charm for me to actually do it! :) I also have been reading "The Shack", and I started this book about the same time some of my other friends (the 1st of August) and I am just now to Chapter 6, getting close to being half way through the book. Anyways it is getting very interesting, but I am usually only allowed 2-3 pages at a time (max 6-7) before I have to get up and tend to 1 or both of our kids!!

Autumn's Officially Crawling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, yesterday was the DAY!!! Autumn has been crawling about 2 or 3 steps for a couple of weeks now, but had NO desire to go any further. And with her being my 2nd I have not pushed her to do anything in a hurry b/c I realize now how quick time flies! Needless to say, last night Montana had jewelry laying in the floor on the opposite side of the room and I look up and Autumn was off to get it! After crawling at least 6 or 7 steps (and all the way to the jewelry) Montana gets in front of her and says "No Sissy, that's mine!!" as loud as she can. Anxious to see her crawl again, I move Montana out of the way and move the jewelry and she crawls about 4 more steps to it. All I can say is our house is fixing to be turned upside down b/c now Autumn can get into everything of Montana's and that is gonna cause some fights!!! Autumn has been pulling herself up for the past month and having no desire to crawl until now, so I see her walking in not TOO long!! And she now has 5 teeth, we are working on #6 at the moment.

Montana's swing set is 1/2 done, we'll have to finish the other part tonight. But, the slide is on and we had to slide a million times last night!!

Well we survived the trip to Lubbock and had a great time by ourselves!! We ended up buying Montana a metal swing set, so tonight we are putting it together for her!! I will post pictures later of her playing on it. At the allergy dr. Levi got put on allergy shots which should be here in 2-3 weeks and he will take one every week. I think this will really help him, especially in the long run!!

With our internet down at home I haven't posted any pictures lately. Here are a few until I can borrow the internet again!! (And the guy isn't supposed to be here until Sept. 9th to fix the internet- there is a chance before but we'll just have to see. I am going to go NUTS before then)

Our weekend was pretty blah, blah, blah, but we did get to enjoy just hanging out at the house!! Montana is in that phase where she is REBELLIOUS!!! So we spent all weekend pretty much spanking her or making her to go to her room for time-out, and that gets OLD so quick. Autumn was very fussy and finally on Sunday I figured out that she had another tooth, one of her front top teeth. This makes tooth #3, and she turns 1 in less than 2 months!! Dang time is flying!! On Sunday the girls went and stayed with Ma and Pa (Levi's parents) for about 1/2 a day while we cleaned. We got their room organized and rearranged, now it is time to tackle the office!! YIKES, I am dreading this one. They are going to visit Patsy and Rodgie (Levi's aunt & uncle) tomorrow night for a few hours after we get home, so I am sure they will have a ball!

We are going to the ranch rodeo in Wichita Falls this weekend, so I am sure we will have LOTS of excitement from that. Until then, Have a great week!! And if you're wondering where Autumn is in these 2 pics- she was occupied playing on the porch with Grandad!!

WARNING: OVERLOADED!!!

What a crazy time we have had over the weekend!! To start it off on Thursday night the girls were in a clown contest. On Friday was the parade, BBQ, and rodeo. My brother Todd and Sheri came in for that day, and then on Saturday Sheri and I and the girls went to Childress to shop at Owens. By the time I got to Wal-Mart the girls had me stressed!!!! They were both tired and 2 of them just makes it seem twice as bad. Sheri says it wasn't as bad as I thought it was, but once again sorry Sheri for having to deal with that. At the rodeo Montana did the calf scramble Friday, but then chickened out on Saturday. Hutton rode a sheep Friday and so Montana wanted to, but guess what, she CHICKENED out on Saturday!! Big Surprise!! :)

On Sunday we went to ride the horses, first time since Autumn has been born. Montana loved it when she was Autumn's age, but guess what- she was scared!! Big Surprise!! We made her do it and she liked it after we rode for awhile. When I was a little kid I was the exact same way, so I am just paying for me. My Dad says, "She sounds just like her Mommy!" And the last night we went and visited MeeMaw and PeePaw. Autumn slept almost the whole time we were there and Montana ate a cookie and drank milk!! (She HAS to have that everytime we go to MeeMaw's)

Belinda- I blogged before a week-YEAH!! And Amy- tell Case he can join us to ride horses anytime!!

What a Week......!

Well, its been a week since I've been on here, but I'm back. Last Friday, Levi's cousin and his family gave to visit and the kids jumped on the trampoline. It was a lot of fun and Montana LOVED it!! Then on Sunday Our church ladies had a "Recipe Swap Party" and it was so much fun! I made Country Style Hoisin Ribs that Levi loves, and they seemed to be a hit there as well! As for the rest of this week, my time has been occupied with 2 little girls. My brother, Todd and his girlfriend, Sheri are coming this weekend so I have been trying to pick our house up for a week. The Quanah rodeo and parade and other activities are happening this weekend so I will update you when it is all over. As for now here are some pictures!

Today was a great day!! Amy and I had lunch at El Sombero which was a treat. I usually just eat at work and don't go anywhere. Thank you Amy for going to lunch with me; and I had no idea we had so much catching up to do!

We were outside a lot of the night- Montana lives on the trampoline when it cools off later at night! I seem to never get anything accomplished in the house. As of this minute I have 1/2 of my bathroom clean; my goal is to have it ALL done before I go to bed. But seeing it is 11:30 who knows it that will really happen. :)

Well, I am planning catch up on some photos, but this is a lot of fun!! I just have to make time late at night! :) Montana helped Levi outside tonight and Autumn and I enjoyed relaxing inside. We cooked a roast and veggies in the slow cooker last night and it was SO good, and I didn't have to cook anything! (that is a plus!) Tomorrow night is mine and Belinda's church meal night so come see what GOOD stuff we are going to have.

Jill Dugan gave Montana some Tigger and Pooh flash cards the other day and we have went through those 100 times tonight, but she is remembering what the harder ones are everytime we go through them. So thank you Jill!! I guess I need to look for some more stuff like that. Dang, she is growing up way too fast!! :(

A Hectic Weekend!!

Well, our weekend started out crazy and ended crazy as well!! :) On Friday we took the girls back to the allergy dr in Lubbock for a check-up and Levi went for his initial visit!! He wouldn't go for forever, but I finally convinced him and he is allergic to about 5 different kinds of weeds and red cedar trees. Needless to say, now all my family is taking medication for allergies, which can add up in $$$ really fast! But after the dr we had a good time doing some shopping and we got a new trampoline, ours was destroyed after the storm!

On Saturday we came to Childress for the parade and rode on the Kid Smiles Daycare float, and Montana thought she was so COOL! She waved at everyone and threw candy!! Autumn had a ball too just watching everything that was going on!

We had plans to go to a birthday party after church on Sunday, but Autumn had been fussy off and on all weekend (I think we have more teeth coming), so I decided to stay home! As long as I kept Motrin down her she was ok, but if it wore out she was pretty cranky! Our youth served us lunch at church Sunday and it was great- Thank you to all of you and to Haley for being a great server!! And Matthew- for just being a clown! LOL
